about srg health

She started where many of you are right now

Sophie Grange built Thrive because she knows what it feels like to lack confidence in your own body and believe that fitness just is not for someone like you. She also knows what becomes possible when you finally have the right support around you.

Sophie Understands Where You Are

You might have been here before. You look at gyms and think it is not for me. You tell yourself you are too old, too unfit, too far gone. You have started and stopped so many times that you are not sure you trust yourself anymore. You know you should do something for your health. You just cannot quite bring yourself to get there.

Sophie has been in exactly that place. Before she became a personal trainer, she was a size 24 and deeply unhappy in her body. She struggled with confidence and her health for years. What changed her life was not a dramatic programme or an extreme method. It was finding the right environment, the right support and the right people around her.

She became a personal trainer because she wanted to give other women exactly that same experience.

Why Sophie Built Thrive

Over the years, Sophie noticed a pattern. The women who needed help the most, those over 35 and 50+ who were struggling with confidence, aches, low energy and a history of starting and stopping, were the same women who felt most out of place in traditional gym environments.

They felt intimidated. They felt judged. They did not know where to start, and nobody was taking care of them properly or treating them as the individual women they were.

Sophie built Thrive to be completely different. Not a big gym. Not a class that moves too fast and leaves people behind. A small, properly coached, supportive environment designed specifically for women who have never felt like gyms were for them.

What You Can Expect from Thrive

Sessions are capped at four women. That means Sophie knows every client by name, understands her goals, coaches her personally in every session and notices when something is not quite right. There is no being lost in a crowd. There is no feeling like you are just another face in a class.

Sophie checks in with every client weekly, sets goals with them and adapts their training as they progress. She builds training in 8-week blocks so every client can see clearly how far she has come. She runs a WhatsApp community group, organises group walks and coffee mornings, and celebrates every single milestone.

The results her clients achieve are not just physical. Women who arrive nervous and unsure of themselves leave every session a little more confident. Over weeks and months, that confidence grows into something they carry with them well beyond the gym.

Qualifications and Experience

Sophie has worked with women of all ages and fitness levels, from complete beginners in their fifties who had never picked up a weight before to women managing menopause, chronic joint pain and years of low energy. Every client is coached individually within the group setting, because Sophie takes the time to understand exactly what each woman needs to progress safely and consistently.

What Clients Say

"

I Never Thought I'd Enjoy Going to the Gym

"Sophie has created such a supportive and encouraging environment that I now find myself going to the gym four times a week – something I never imagined I'd say! She always motivates me, gives great advice and somehow makes every session enjoyable. I even tell my family how much I love going to the gym now. If you're thinking about joining, I'd encourage you to come and see for yourself."

— Jacqueline

"

"My Only Regret Is Not Starting Sooner"

I'd tried going to the gym several times over the years but never really knew what I was doing, and I always ended up giving up. After a previous bad experience with a personal trainer, my confidence was at an all-time low. Joining Sophie's ladies-only small group sessions completely changed that. Six weeks in, I'm stronger, have more energy, I'm sleeping better and starting to lose weight. Best of all, I genuinely enjoy coming to train. The sessions are welcoming, supportive and suitable for women of all ages and abilities. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner.

— Joanne, 66

"

Fitness Doesn't Have to Feel Intimidating

"I wanted to get back into the gym but wasn't sure where to start. Since joining Sophie's ladies-only small group sessions, I've found a friendly, welcoming and supportive environment where I've been able to build my confidence and enjoy exercising again. The sessions are inclusive, great fun and perfect for women who are new to the gym or returning after time away. I'd highly recommend giving them a go."
